I am Petra Pinder, founder of Off-Grid Coaching Europe® (OGCE). I am preoccupied with how people can remain focused, self-determined and capable of action in a digital world. I support companies, institutions such as day nurseries and schools, managers, young adults and parents in classifying digital demands and developing a conscious approach to them.
What off-grid means to me
Off-grid means for me being connected more consciously with oneself, other people, and nature again. Perceiving one's own needs, directing attention and creating space for rest, creativity and personal encounter: that is part of a fulfilled life for me, online as well as offline.
Technology has its place in this. We decide when it supports us and when we need a break. The aim is to maintain mental performance and shape our digital daily lives so that they match our own values and tasks.
Experience in business, development and psychology
As a qualified industrial engineer, I worked in international companies for over 25 years, including at a major automotive manufacturer (OEM). As a manager, I bring experience in leading employees. Technical advanced development, international projects and change processes have shaped my perspective on the collaboration between humans and technology. My own digital story began in 1982 on the Commodore VC20. As the mother of two digital natives, I am also familiar with questions regarding media use from everyday family life.
Since 2022, I have been running my own practice as a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy (Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie) in Bad Schwalbach. The experience gained there complements my understanding of self-regulation, stress and change. Off-Grid Coaching focuses on prevention, education and coaching for personal and professional development.

- Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieurin with over 25 years' experience in international business, including the automotive industry and management experience
- Nonmedical practitioner licensed to practise psychotherapy in Germany (Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie)
- Certified Digital Transformation Manager and Certified Digital Marketing Manager, Digethic Business School; personal certifications by Quality Austria based on EN ISO/IEC 17024 (2026)
- Further training at PESI „Gen Z & Emerging Adults Mental Health Specialist“

Leadership, collaboration and change
I complement my leadership experience with further training in conflict resolution, dealing with addiction issues, and the responsible management of change. These perspectives are incorporated into my work with companies and institutions.

Education, media literacy and families
In 2004, I completed my qualification as a childminder and worked with the youth welfare office in the Rheingau-Taunus district. Since 2017, my qualification as a school youth media protection officer has complemented my perspective on the digital lives of children, young people, and families.

How we work together
First, we will clarify your concern and jointly determine which changes are sensible and realistic for your everyday life. Guidance is provided by the five competencies of the Off-Grid Brain Compass: focus, self-regulation, emotional stability, empathy, and creativity.
Individual coaching and group coaching are available online or, by arrangement, on-site at your premises. For companies and institutions such as day nurseries and schools, I also offer keynotes, lectures and workshops. We will tailor the content and format to suit your teams, educational professionals or parents.
